The Minerva Fellowship

The Minerva Fellows Program was founded in 2008 and seeks to give recent Union College graduates the opportunity to work with social entrepreneurship organizations all over the world. The goal is to develop global citizens that can address social issues in creative ways.

Every year 8 graduating seniors are selected. This year Fellows will be in Uganda, South Africa, India, Cambodia and The Philippines. In April of 2019 we will return from these locations and spend one month sharing our experiences with the Union College community. You can keep up with all of Fellows 11 (Matt, Nick, Randi, Angus, Isabelle, Luke and Claire ) here:  https://www.union.edu/offices/minerva/fellows/18-19/

Isabelle and I will spend the next 9 months in Siem Reap, Cambodia working with The Global Child, an organization that educates and mentors impoverished children in Cambodia. We're excited to see what the next 9 months hold!

Minerva Fellows Mantra:

"Go to the people.
Live with them
Learn from them
Love them.
Start with what they know
Build with what they have
But with the best leaders,
When the work is done,
The task accomplished,
The people will say
'We have done this ourselves.'"

-Lao Tzu
